Dancing With the Stars alumni Toni Braxton had tumor removed

Published by realfan at 12:12 pm under Entertainment Edit This

Toni Braxton went in for surgery a week before the Dancing With the Stars finale show! This is why Ms. Braxton was not in attendance for the last show of the season.

Toni Braxton told “Us Weekly” , in their upcoming edition, that she was concerned about what the doctors would find. Thank God, the tumor was benign.

During a routine exam last August, the doctors found a lump in Toni Braxton’s breast. They told her then, that she did not have to drop out of DTWS, but could stay in the competition. The doctors felt that things were safe, for the time being.

On October 20th, Toni Braxton and her partner Alex Mazo were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars. Immediately after her elimination from this competition, Toni made an appointment for a follow-up on the tumor. By then, doctors discovered her lump was still present and larger in size, then from before.

Ms. Braxton conveyed that getting voted off Dancing With the Stars, when she did, was really a blessing in disguise for her. Toni Braxton has a family history of breast cancer. The singer feels very grateful and fortunate that the tumor was not cancerous and that her surgery went well.

This past season of Dancing With the Stars seems to have been cursed with accidents and ailments that afflicted many of the celebrities. This ordeal that Toni Braxton had to go through, only adds to this seeming curse that hung over the entire cast last season.
